I prefer to mix these styles over any other form of electronica because of the abundance of rhythms and their beefy bass-lines. I tend to pull in and out of mixes a few times before the main transition to create more powerful builds and breakdowns. I have integrated a technique that is typically only utilized by house djs (not trancers)(i.e. use the bass-line from the left channel and kill the bass on the right, while killing the midrange on the left and pumping it out on the right channel). I have about 10 years of experience as a classical and jazz musician. This has aided my ability to pull off mixes that were meant for a much less chaotic genre of music.
