.. PROFESSIONAL PC SERVICES SAVING PLANET EARTH The BBC Wildlife Fund is a grant giving charity registered with the Charity Commission (number: 1119286). It was set up to distribute money raised by donations to help support projects protecting the world's endangered wildlife. To find out more visit The BBC Wildlife Fund The remit of the BBC Wildlife Fund is to support projects that are working to protect endangered wildlife and biodiversity – animals, plants and the wild places they need to help protect and improve the natural habitats that wildlife and humans share The more money that is donated, the greater the number of endangered species the Fund will be able to help. Once the total amount raised from appeals in summer 2007 is known, the Fund will work with a wide range of wildlife charities to assess how and where the money can make the most difference. I'm currently living in Colchester, Essex. Colchester Ten years ago I was one of the founder members of a local swimming club for disabled adults and children. I was membership secretary & poolside assistant and I volunteered there for 5 years. Colchester Phoenix Amateur Swimming Club I was also a member of the customer forum for the local leisure centre where the swimming club is based. I was a reasonably successful local agent in the entertainment industry (not as glam as it sounds!) and made finalist two years running in the Colchester and District business awards. (New Business category in 1999 and then Customer Service category in 2000). I've also been a family historian, spending 13 years tracing my family tree. I was also (at one point!) a member of Mensa (I.Q. of 148 which drops to approximately 1.48 after several bacardis). Mensa I was a committee member for the Colchester Free Festival for 2001 and 2002 and am still very interested in the local music scene, although these days I just enjoy going to gigs rather than booking them. I completed an access course at Colchester Institute in 2005, when I also completed an Introduction to Counselling course (person-centred counselling). Colchester Institute I completed the ECDL computer qualification (European Computer Driving Licence). I passed the National Certificate in Adult Literacy, level two. I also passed the National Certificate in Adult Numeracy, level two. This is suprising, considering that I have just been diagnosed with dyscalculia (a sort of dyslexia with numbers)!! Dyscalculia I am currently a mature student at the University of Essex, about to take my final exams in May. The University Of Essex I am an undergraduate, studying for a BA (Hons) in sociology. My first year courses for 2005-6 were: Introduction to health and human sciences Initial Italian Researching social life I Sociology and the modern world: Sociological analysis I My courses for 2006-7 were: Continuity & Controversy in Sociology : Sociological Analysis II Researching Social Life II Health, Illness & Society British Culture and Society in the 20th Century I also completed a course entitled The Psychosocial Study of Disability during the autumn term of 2006. I have recently been diagnosed with dyslexia! Dyslexia My 3rd and final year courses were: Current Disputes In Sociology : Sociological Analysis III. Media, Culture and Society. Race, Class and Gender. 3rd Year Project:(My dissertation)"What were women’s experiences at Davey, Paxman and Company during World War Two, and what impact did the presence of women workers have on the firm?". |

My Family Tree I've recently discovered the delights of foreign travel. July 2004 I went to Cork (Ireland) County Cork In August 2004 I visited Turin (Italy) Turin July 2005 I went to Albufeira (Portugal) Albufeira Then to Amsterdam Amsterdam July 2006 I returned to Amsterdam for a few days. | Life's path is never easy,
And we often lose our way,
There's no signpost to direct you,
So you're often led astray.
Take my hand and let me guide you,
Night and day, I'm right beside you,
