| Since moving to Switzerland almost twenty years ago, Izrah has established himself as an accomplished singer and musician. Currently he plays guitar & backing vocals with Patrice , The Shashamani Band, and The Vital Roots Band. He has shared stages with the likes of Burning Spear, Frankie Paul, Morgan Heritage, Kool and the gang, 50 Cent, Pharrel Williams, Level 42, Ub40, Gentleman, .....to name a few.He has recorded one solo album released in 1995 which featured some of the legendary session musicians from the Jamaican music scene such as Earl 'Chinna' Smith (who co-produced the album with Izrah), Mutabaruka, Cat Coore, Robbie Lynn, Tyrone Downie, Harry T, etc. The album was mixed at Tuff Gong Studios by the legendary Errol Brown. Since the release of the album and the succesful tour which followed, Izrah has been touring incessantly with different artists, lending his talents on Guitar, Bass. Keyboards and backing vocals. Izrah voice has been said to have an uncanny similiarity to the late great Dennis Brown who is one of his vocal mentors. He is currently working on material for his upcoming album...... |
