| MIKE NICE a.k.a Tha 105th St. Fonzirelli, CEO & Founder of LAKE LAND Records Inc. I am also an artist, writer, and producer. I recognized my talent with music around the age of 15 years old. Through those years I was more into running the streets and having teenage fun. Rapping was more of a recreation thing, or just something me and the homeboys did while sittin around smokin' and drinkin'. We used to just sit around and freestyle all the time. I didnt take this music thing serious until around 2002 after taking my second short trip away for a year. Creating two mixtapes, Platinum Underground Vol. 1 & 2, I began to build a name for myself locally and approached few major labels. LAKE LAND Records was established Feb. 23, 2005. I called it LAKE LAND because we live in this often overlooked city here that we call THA LAND, which sits on the most famous waters of the five great lakes. A beautiful thing. I decided to start my own label after a few years of trying to get attention from major labels, and not getting anywhere with my first two mixtape efforts. This forced me to wise up and focus on selling records independently. There's alot of money to be made in music, even as a small indie label. My goal right now is to basically keep moving units independently, and after moving enough units as an independent, hopefully go on to sign a distribution deal or atleast a good solo artist deal. Lyrically, I feel I am one of the best to come from Cleveland, hands down. Im just here to get these millions and at the same time let the industry know Hip-hop aint dead. Its in Cleveland now.
