Created in 2003 at Beziers / Montpellier (Hérault), Caïnan Dawn (pronounced Key-nan Done, where Caïnan is a very powerful vampire from Vampire: The Masquerade.) , At the time, consisting of two members, Heruforod and Kobal. The group was looking for a music with roots tinged with Metal Black Death and Thrash, while focusing on the influences on the occult, the darkness and mythologies.

The group created several pieces and repeat on time using a rhythm box as a drummer, failing to find a kind of human to play the drum. A demo is created with eight titles, but after an unsatisfactory result, it falls into oblivion, and will never be released.

After a silence of one year, the group draw on some titles that will become pieces of "In Darkness I Reign", and looks only to Black Metal. Result of a fluke, Caïnan Dawn moves in Chambéry and, shortly thereafter, meet Sorghal from Nehemah. Considering the demo, he is offering its services and became the second guitarist whose the group was obviously needed. From there, It miss a drummer in the group instead of the BAR. Fortunately, a very old friend of Sorghal was a drummer, looking for a group to evolved. It was HellHaze who had already played in formations such as Evohe or Himinbjorg. The band began to repeat to play in concert and released their demo in August 2007.
