I LOVE MUSIC! I sang in middle school, high school & earned a half scholorship for college. Unfortunately, I became a bartender b4 smoking inside wasn't cool. I have inhaled so much 2nd hand smoke that I didn't need to smoke :p and it had really done a number on my vocal chords but now that I am out of the bartending biz my voice is returning and I am looking forward to laying down some tracks. Fortunately I loved bartending! If you've lived in Orlando a long time then I have probably served you drinks and/or H2O ;) My resume is such a ghost town from bars, clubs and restaurants closing that the places I thought were ICONS are now barely remembered. I guess I can add Club Juana to that list as well. I bartended at Chappy's back in '92-'94. It "was" an afterhours bar open only to the hospitality industry. It was open from 1am - 6am and sold/served liquor. The city of Casselberry grandfathered it in years earlier. I tell you that place was crazy! I loved it & made lots of $$$!! Then I went to Infiniti afterhours bottle club across from JJ Whisphers and was the head bartender at the front oval bar for almost a year and that was the "true club" but most pp only remember Cyberzone. We used to lock the doors @ 6am at Infiniti and stay till noon! I didn't even like techno before I started working there. I never planned to be a DJ or own my own extremely precious records. Those were certainly the days. Factory Visuals, Laser Matt, Roche and Smiley to name a few oldskoolerz. Much Love to Ya!! Then I went to work for Phattraxx Records because I was pregnant and needed to get out the bar business. I worked with Steve for a good four years. I learned so much about running a record label, throwing kicka** parties and met so many Awesome Artists!! I'll tell ya Icon was Kickin' for Phattraxx Tuesdays w/ resident Baby Anne for over a year! Then we started throwing parties every weekend at 600 North in Daytona resulting in one of the Best New Years Eve Parties EVER!! "1st Sunrise 2000" (sans the roof falling in and the elevators being scarily full) Orlando Breakz V.01 - V.04 were killer CD's we produced and distributed as well as some wax. To promote the CD's we would have DJ Rob-e spin at the Virgin Megastore across from House of Blues, Downtown Disney. After Phattraxx I decided to get a corporate job with Xerox @ Sun Microsystems. Now I work for a company called 11th Hour. We rent office equipment and have a digital print facility. If you need anything printed then call me for a quote ;D I also started my own business as a Notary Signing Agent. I notarize legal docs, mortgages, etc. I have now started a new record label called Bluemedina Recordings Worldwide with my friend and partner Chemical Oli. Keep checking back for updates!!
