| Le groupe Duplex a vu le jour au cours du mois de janvier 2006 à Bruxelles. Jusque là Matthieu Davalo (chant/guitare) jouait en solo dans des pubs de la région, tantôt ses propres compositions, tantôt des reprises de groupes connus (U2, Nirvana, Radiohead…).
Après quelques projets dans des groupes sans lendemain, Mat rencontre Jérémie Tihon (guitare éléctrique) qui recherche avec son compère bassiste Antoine Meersseman une voix qui se joindrait à eux. Peu après Timothée Philippe (batterie) est introduit dans la bande : c’est alors que la musique de Duplex prend forme. Le groupe adapte les compositions acoustiques de Mat de manière à ce que chaque membre y apporte son style et ses influences.
Les chansons de Duplex empruntent au rock, à la pop et au funk en passant par le disco.
Une démo est en cours d’enregistrement et plusieurs concerts sont à venir dans différentes régions de la Belgique.
