First and foremost, I'm a mom. My daughter's my world and my everything. I'm a smart woman who can take care of myself, hold an intellectual conversation and still be a dork. I'm not so smart when it comes to matters of the heart. I tend to wear it on my sleeve when I shouldn't and build a wall around myself at times when I should be open to new experiences. I can be so optimistic that it makes me pessimistic. As I've gotten older I've mellowed - I don't talk nearly as much as I did back in the day. I value my alone time more than ever, and while I'm athletic and love exercising, I also love a good book and glass of wine. I value those who value me. I have a hard time walking away from things, because it's not my style to give up. I laugh easily, love trying new things and am happiest when I can make someone smile, and vice versa. When it comes down to it, my family and close friends are my everything. Only God knows what tomorrow brings, so I cherish every special moment I get to be with them. |
