In short, an artist unafraid of the personal touch.Alice Shaw is that artist.Hailing originally from Bristol, 21-year-old relocated to Brighton in 2002 to study music. Alice, however, held aspirations beyond mere classroom study, heading boldly out into Brighton’s buzzing live circuit with a piano led collection of classy songs, quickly becoming a firm favourite among the town’s more discerning gig-goers.In early 2007 signed a global publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music who recognised her songwriting talent immediately and who recently funded the recording of her debut album ‘Reasons I Can’t Speak’, which was completed in London at the end of last year with renowned producer Ian Grimble.‘Reason I Can’t Speak,’ is 11 passionate anthems of love & loss, rejection & personal awakening; bold musical arrangements perfectly compliment Alice’s soaring vocals and heartfelt lyrics and the overall result is a cohesive work of striking originality and real beauty.2008 will see spreading her wings far beyond the south coast as she introduces herself to a mainstream audience for the first time and takes her first steps on a journey that should see her becoming a world class talent. | |
