| Ist das gemeinsame Projekt von Ryan Garcia und Wolfgang Hoffer, benannt nach einer primitiven Spielkonsole aus den 70ern. Im Gegensatz zu dieser besticht das Musikprojekt allerdings durch seine Komplexität in den Soundgefügen und ausgeklügelten Beats. Gegründet wurde Channel-f im Jahr 2006, nachdem Hoffer und Garcia schon einige Jahre auf Solo-Pfaden gewandelt waren. Mit ihrem neuen Projekt wollen die beiden nun endlich das Studio verlassen, und von Wien aus die Tanzflächen dieser Welt erobern.
Ihr Sound ist inspiriert von Künstlern wie Derrick May, Theo Parrish oder Akufen. Das Resultat ist eine groovende Mischung, die sich irgendwo zwischen Detroit, Minimal und Elektrohouse bewegt, und sich dennoch in keine Schublade stecken lässt. |
