‘Ras Iyahkayah’ world class singer, songwriter, extraordinaire was born McCraig Daniel in the volcanic island of Montserrat. Growing up in the village of Molyneaux (A.K.A. Trench Town), he started his musical journey at the age of seven. His exceptional voice became evident and his music teacher would always advise the class to ‘Listen to McCraig’s notes’. Like his voice his message is clear. His conscious lyrics, sensitivity, and joy of life reflects his unique style. Using a smooth captivating voice he sings of life’s blessings, world peace, love, and righteousness while sharing his knowledge of Rastafari. You will never forget him!

He’s collaborated with record labels, sound systems, radio disc jockeys, and many others internationally (Jamaica, Anguilla, Montserrat, St. Maarten, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Portugal, Canada). His experience includes singing, deejaying, and once selecting music at night clubs and large festivals.

Jah Sound.net refers to his collaboration with Vibronics/Scoops as “the infamous Mama Africa”. The single is a favourite among dub fans. A newly released medley video with DYMZ’s Production includes Ras Iyahkayah’s well received “Close To I”. His latest singles include “Good Life”, “Shine Your Light”, and “My Life”.

Currently in the U.K. he keeps busy with requested dub plates and jingles for radio stations and sound systems around the world. He is also working on his upcoming album "Best In Life" with Chop Chop Productions in Judgement Yard Kingston, Jamaica. Stay tuned for The Voice of Life…Ras Iyahkayah!
