Modern beats with traditional sounds. I started dj-ing as a radio dj with a free radio station in Holland called Koekoeroereedio. Back then I was already looking for music that fuses modern western music with non- western music. I also played a lot of reggae and ska. The first time I played in front of a crowd was at a fundraiser for the radio station. I liked it and wanted more. Then i went travelling in India and Nepal. For almost 3 years I was either working in Europe or travelling in India or Nepal. In Asia i heard a lot of new music and bought a lot of music, taking home a bag full of cd's and love for global beats. Since the end of 2004 I am a resident DJ in Ruigoord, an artist colony near Amsterdam. (http://www.ruigoord.nl) . I am also resident at Dance Moves in Leiden (Holland). I am a regular guest at the Nataraj nights in Amsterdam (http://www.nataraj.info) and the Chocolate Club (http://www.chocolateclub.nl) Summer of 2005 and 2006 I dj-ed at the Legalize streetrave in Amsterdam and summer 2005 and 2007 at the Landjuweel festival. December 2005 and 2006 I dj-ed at the Balloon party in Paradiso Amsterdam. This summer i played at Amsterdam Gay Pride 2007.I mostly dj at dance parties. I love to seduce people into moving to music they have not heard before. Spicy beats from India, mellow hiphop from Cuba, funky Afrobeats, heart moving nu- Gypsy, Latin beats, dance music from the Middle East, anything that moves body and soul. I also enjoy playing a in the chill-out room at dance parties or festivals.Summer of 2006 i was closing chill-out DJ at the Utopia festival in Portugal. At the moment i am part of Clan of Speace a platform for chill-out DJ's who regularly DJ in Amsterdam. (http://www.namaste.eu) I am also resident chill-out DJ for the Cosmic Combination.
