| Exit 26 was started early 2007 starting with the ideas of bassist/vocalist Alex Trantanella. Recently out of a band with a couple friends, Matt Brown, guitarist in the old band, joined the team. Now with another member and set ideas the duo needed a drummer. Ethan Jorgenson, Alex’s long time best friend, joined in. Ethan recently coming out of a break up of his old metal band was excited to play in a band yet again. Though Alex and Matt were unsure Ethan would stay because of his musical backround, Ethan was a perfect fit. His creativeness and taste in music was a perfect blend the band needed. now the lineup was set. they just needed a name. names were being tossed around but somehow the name Alliance for Hire was kept. soon after choosing the name Alex got fed up with it (even though he made it up) coming back from a +44/Fall Out Boy show Alex decided it was time to change the name. so he decided the next thing he saw he’d call the band that. coming back from the show he saw an EXIT sign on the highway. EXIT 26. coincidentally on another highway EXIT 26 was the exit nearest to the bands hometown...interesting huh? Now the band has written over 15 songs and are soon to put out their first full length 12 song CD "Ruffles the Penguin". the idea behind that is yet another story and for another time...
