Le ombre dense e sabbiose della pittura ad olio di Béatrice de France si fondono con la terra bronzea e umida dei Bachi da Pietra nel corso di una performance completamente improvvisata e tesa ad una totale interazione tra musica e pittura, discipline artistiche che difficilmente si incontrano in eventi dal vivo.

Dalla penombra, da tratti appena accennati e mossi da un suono secco e rugginoso che sa di legno e di ferro, ecco che si materializzano volti e figure.
Le tele acquisiscono corpo, sostanza e volume, e prendono vita in un continuo rimando sempre in divenire tra pittura e musica.

Béatrice de France nasce in Nuova Caledonia. In seguito vive in Etiopia e quindi a Parigi: qui completa la propria formazione accademica. Dal 1998 si stabilisce a Firenze dove oltre a proseguire gli studi artistici e l'attività pittorica - in particolare olio su tele di grande formato - opera come designer, ebanista, intagliatore.

Bachi da Pietra è un progetto di Giovanni Succi (ex Madrigali Magri) e Bruno Dorella (ex Wolfango e quindi fondatore di OvO e Ronin). La band - che fa base tra Berlino e Piemonte - è attualmente impegnata nel missaggio del terzo album, atteso seguito di Tornare nella terra e Non io, entrambi acclamati dalla critica specializzata. Nel maggio 2005 il gruppo ottiene la copertina dell'autorevole mensile musicale Blow up.

La peculiarità di questa performance sta nella capacità di rinnovarsi ad ogni evento, nel produrre senso artistico e umano in qualunque sito, cogliendone lo spirito e facendone espressione

Le projet nait de la rencontre entre Béatrice de France, peintre française - née en Nouvelle-Calédonie et ébéniste de formation - pratiquant actuellement à Florence, Marco Ortolani Kuemmel - batteur des Leanan Sidhe, et Gianni Maroccolo, musicien, compositeur et producteur, présent sur la scène du rock indépendant italien des vingt cinq dernières années (en particulier en tant que membre fondateur des Litfiba et CSI). Il travaille en ce moment au sein des groupes Ig, Pgr et Marlene Kuntz.

L'idée de départ est la création d'un événement unique, un "happening" reposant sur l'improvisation. Il représente dans le mème temps une interaction complète et une fusion entre disciplines artistiques - la peinture et la musique - qui se rencontrent difficilement en concert.
Au cours du happening les ombres se matérialisent, la toile est peinte et prend vie.
Les lignes animées par les sons au commencement sont des ombres se transformant: depuis la pénombre, de traits à peine ébauchés, de lignes en mouvement, se dressent des arbres, des figures, des visages et - au son de la musique - ils prennent corps, substance, volume.

Project born from the meeting between Béatrice de France, french painter - born in New Caledonya and formed as a cabinet maker - currently working in Florence, Marco Ortolani Kuemmel - Leanan Sidhe drummer, and Gianni Maroccolo, musician, composer, arranger and producer, present within the italian indipendent rock scene since early eighties (most of all as member and founder of Litfiba and Csi), and actually involved in Ig, Pgr and Marlene Kuntz.

As starting idea is the creation of an unique event, a "happening" based on the improvisation and which should feature a complete interaction and fusion between art expressions - in this case painting and music - that scarcely meet each other in live gigs.
During the happening the shadows materialize themselves, the canvas is being painted and gets alive.
The lines moved by the sounds in the beginning are shadows then trasfomed in something else: from the darkness, from the strokes not completely drawn, from the moving lines, here are some trees growing up, figures, faces and - upon the sound of music - everything gains substance, volume and thick.

Ein Projekt, das durch die Begegnung entsteht von Béatrice de France, französische Malerin - geboren in Neu Kaledonien - und ausgebildete Ebanistin, momentan in Florenz tätig, Marco Ortolani Kuemmel - Schlagzeuger der Leanon Sidhe, und dem Musiker, Komponisten und Produzenten Gianni Maroccolo, der während der letzten 25 Jahre im italienischen unabhängigen. Rock gegenwärtig ist (insbesondere als Gründungsmitglied von Litfiba und CSI) und jetzt mit Ig, Pgr und Marlene Kuntz zusammenarbeitet.

Die Ausgangsidee ist die, ein einmaliges event zu schaffen, eine performance, deren Grundlage die Improvisation ist und die gleichzeitig eine totale Interaktion und Fusion künstlerischer Disziplinen - und zwar Malerei und Musik - darstellt, was kaum jemals in live events vorkommt.
Im Laufe der performance nehmen die Schatten Gestalt an, die Leinwand wird bemalt und wird lebendig. Die von den Tönen in Bewegung gesetzten Linien sind anfangs nur Schatten, um dann anderes zu werden: aus dem Halbschatten, aus den nur eben angedeuteten Konturen, aus den sich bewegenden Linien, entstehen Bäume, Figuren, Gesichter und - beim Klang der Musik - nehmen sie Gestalt an, Inhalt und Umfang.
