Myspace Contact Tables Lyrics Avi Elbaz bornned in Morocco at 1961 and emigrate to Israel at 1970 with his family .“I discovered music by listening to my grand father singing in synagogue, as a child I was impress from the voices I heard and the amazing melodies. After leaving Morocco to Israel I started to listen to pop music and rock music that was completely new to my ears. I started to play music with recorder and then mandolin. As a teenager I played Saxophone and discovered the sound of the electric guitar that became my major instrument and more than that helped me to jump to world of electronic sound. After a long period of learning music in different schools with different teachers I started my studies of composition with one of the great musicians I met in my life professor Arie Shapira. After a period of 5 years with Arie Shapira something had changed in the way I treated music. In 1984 I recorded my first electronic peace of music that was for me like a research in new ways to create music and I found my self in the next years creating music that was based on electronic systems and sounds , trying to define a new way to compose music and to renew the language of music . During years I teaches music in several places ( Hakfar Hayarok , Haifa University and Muzik school of music .) Today I am teaching only at Muzik School of music and managing projects at school, all my free time is dedicated to my creation and hope to discovered new ways and fashions to make music. During the years I was involved in many music productions, wrote music to theatre, dance show and was part of many pop and Jazz albums as arranger or producer.I released 2 albums with my music , in the last album called “ private talks “ I worked with a group called Trio Electro . the group was formed on the base of Michal Cohen – singer Laurent Nackash – guitar and me – bass and programming . We had an amazing time doing that album that was made by jamming music and then spending hours of editing and reordering the musicals ideas to new composition. I believe that trio electro will become my major project for the next years and we are planning to start performing on a regular base in the next future.
