| Mamy Wata c'est la rencontre d'une chanteuse, d'un guitariste et d'un percussionniste.
Leur musique vient d'Afrique et leurs textes s'adressent au monde entier. MAMY WATA Déa Nam Gann (celle qui donne à la famille en vain), est née dans la tribu des Baya Fervants guerriers ayant contribué à repousser la colonisation Française à Bangui (République Centrafricaine). Son père, réfugier politique sous le règne de Bocassa Ier et son oncle, membre de l’ONU, ont vivement créé en elle l’évidence de défendre d’une manière ou d’une autre les histoires que les hommes rencontrent. Elle choisira la voie de la musique… Ainsi, les diverses palettes d’émotions que la chanteuse a pu voir, entendre, elle nous les dessine sur scène à travers le personnage de Mamy Wata. Sous une musique aux ambiances africaines et des textes écrits en français, sa voix, ses expressions, sa danse, Mamy Wata peut être diabolique, mystérieuse, fragile, ironique et tantôt une vraie guerrière qui, se questionnant tel un miroir, vous renvoie face à tous les maux, tous les doutes, toutes les joies qui traversent notre vie. Et ainsi, Mamy Wata vient et vole de festival en festival, porté par la rumeur, par le bouche à oreille. MAMY WATA Déa Nam Gann (« the one who gives to the family in vain ») was born in the Baya tribe. They are fervent warriors who contributed to the refusal of French colonization in Bangui, Central African Republic. Her father,a political refugee during the reign of Bocassa I , and her uncle ( a previous member of the U.N ) made Déa develop an obvious and urgent need to defend, in different ways, the stories that men came across with. She will choose the means of music. Thus, thanks to the character of Mamy Wata , the singer creates on stage a varied range of emotions that she was able to see and hear. Mamy Wata can be diabolical, mysterious, fragile, ironic and sometimes a real warrior through her voice, her expressions and her dancing, on a music made of African atmospheres and French lyrics. She questions like a warrior and take you back to all the sorrows, all the doubts and all the joys that go through our lives. In this way, Mamy Wata comes and flies from festivals to festivals carried away by rumours and word of mouth. MAMY WATA Déa Nam Gann (la que da a la familia en vano), nacida dentro de la la tribu de los Baya fervientes guerreros que contribuyeron a rechazar la colonización francesa en Bangui (República Centroafricana). Su padre, refugiado político bajo el reinado de Bocassa Ier y su tío, miembro de la ONU, vivamente crearon en ella la evidencia de defender de una manera o de otra las historias que los hombres encuentran. Escogerá la vía de la música … Así, la diversidad de emociones que la cantante pudo ver, oír, nos las dibuja en escena a través del personaje de Mamy Wata. Bajo una música con ambientes africanos y los textos escritos en francés, su voz, sus expresiones, su baile, Mamy Wata puede ser diabólica, misteriosa, frágil, irónica y a veces una verdadera guerrera que, interrogándose como un espejo, encara todos los males, todas las dudas, todas las alegrías que atraviesan nuestra vida. Y así, Mamy Wata viene y vuela de festival en festival, llevada por el rumor, por el boca a oreja.
