| ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER 13 YEARS ON THE ROAD, PINK FRAUD ARE TO RETIRE IN SEPTEMBER 2009. THE LAST FEW GIGS THAT THEY WILL PLAY AS “THE FAREWELL TOUR" ARE IN THE UPCOMING SHOWS BOX NOW. Pink Fraud formed in 1996 to perform the music of Pink Floyd. Since then the band has gained a reputation as the most authentic representation, both visually and sonically, of the Pink Floyd of the 1970's! Shunning the sights and sounds of the 80's and 90's Pink Fraud recreate the quintissential ground-breaking Floyd of 1968-1979 as you would have seen and heard it at the time. Utilising authentic period clothing and equipment, and staying true to the bands arrangements and touring line-ups Pink Fraud create the suspension of disbelief for fans who were there at the time, and offer the original experience to new fans. Pink Fraud have this year appeared at The Glastonbury Festival, the glastonbudget Festival, and were the Pink Floyd tribute band approached to appear in the BBC Arena documentary on tribute bands recently shown on BBC2.
