Bienvenue surtout dans son univers sonore, qui mêle à peu près tout ce qui l’a nourri et qu’il a digéré avant d’enfin le faire partager – l’amour du funk et de la guitare, les solos de Satriani et le rythme de Bob, les vibrations de la soul et le plaisir de la pop. Alex c’est le condensé d'un franco-suisse qui passe des vacances baba cool en Grèce, un ingénieur du son amoureux de sa guitare, un homme normal qui n’a pas trop envie de l’être. Ça donne 14 tranches de (sa) vie qui forcément ressemble à la nôtre – « Bifidus », « Pas de rythme », « De mon mieux », « Tout passe » - échantillonnées, chantées, grattées ou enregistrées live, mais toujours drôles, captivantes ou juste irrésistibles. Alex, c’est le bootleg parfait entre Vincent Delerm et Otis Redding, sans le savoir un pionnier de la "bastard pop" capable de mixer les rythmes funk et un certain esprit français.
