| HOW MANY MORE LIFES?In the west of Sudan there is a region known, or should I say unknown, as Darfur. A recent report made by the British Foreign Office indicates that more than 500,000 people have died. Black Africans, mostly poor farmers are being wiped out by an Arab, well armed government militia with the name of Janjaweed. Most of the dead are, of course children. Women are rapped and all are starving to death. 2 million people have fled their homes looking for refugee camps that don’t exist. 3 million people depend on foreign aid to survive day by day. Can it get worst?YES. To make things more tragic, the world does not know there is genocide occurring at a place called Darfur.
