"GEORGE"Born and raised on the south side of the music city of Memphis, Tenn., just a few blocks away from Soulsville, U.S.A., home of world famous Staxx Records, the artist simply called, "George", is Stone Records' smooth jazz male vocalist, songwriter, and producer. This new comer with the rich voice texture and soulful crooning will soon earn his place among male balladeers within the music industry with his soothing and melodic vocal interpretations. A multitalented and very versatile vocalist, songwriter, and producer, but very humble spirit, "George", is destined to become a contributor to the long musical legacy of Memphis with his brand of music."George" is currently in production with his debut album appropriately entitled, "Volume I George". This debut album is a long time coming and is promised to provide the listener with a very thorough introduction to the many talents of this balladeer and his music. The project is filled with finely blended musical compositions and poetic lyrics soon to be known as “standards” for Stone Records as "George" brings a fresh style to the listeners through the musical elements of jazz, funk, and soul for what is smooth jazz, and poetic tales of spirituality, love, and the lessons of life. This album will allow the listener a very mellow and even very emotional smooth jazz "experience" via "George". A few of the tracks selected for the upcoming album will include; the first single to be released from the debut album, “I Want To Know”, a very smooth mid tempo groove of well blended jazz and funk concerning the very beginnings of a possible new friendship; "I Had This Feeling", a very smooth and romantic tale of man and woman, also, becoming newly acquainted; the testimonial, "Believe In You", a strong and inspirational ballad that will take you down the road where gospel and jazz travel together, and also, "Come With Me", an uptempo grove designed to ease your mind."Volume I George", will be an invitation for the listener into a relaxing mood, irregardless of your day, with a jazz so smooth, its therapeutic. Just listen…There is not a song without a message as "George" enters the industry with "…music for the soul" as his purpose. This is poetry. The look, the voice, his music, the vibe…feel it."George" is currently planning and preparing for a major promotional tour to support his debut single scheduled to be released soon by "indie" label, Stone Records in Memphis."George" is heavily influenced musically and vocally by many very talented and legendary groups and solo artists. Most notably are; the musical genius of Maurice White (Earth, Wind, & Fire), Prince Rogers Nelson, Barry White, Donny Hathaway, Jeffrey Osborne, Theodore Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Rick James, and Jimi Hendrix as well as Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, the very soulful Mavis Staples, Gladys Knight, and Aretha Franklin, and his personal vocal stylist mentor, the very talented Mr. Luther Vandross. These are the influences that helped to shape the many talents of "George" as a balladeer, song writer, and producer." …music is one of the highest forms of communication.
