Eike Ebbel Groenewold, so EBBEL..s vollständiger Name, "...tummelt sich gekonnt im musikalischen Umfeld seiner Vorbilder der britischen und amerikanischen Musikszene...". Bei seinen Liedern handelt es sich "...um fein ziselierte Melodien und einen zielstrebig vorangetriebenen und gut durchdachten Klangkosmos...". (Zitate aus der Musikzeitschrift "Home of Rock")Doch auch aus dem Geschäft der Filmmusik kann Ebbel seine Finger nicht lassen und vertont seit seinem 12ten Lebensjahr regelmäßig die Filme des Berliner Regisseurs Dennis Jacobsen.
