| I AM FOR THE DJ’S WHAT SILENCE IS FOR MUSIC " In the beginning there was silence, that owes its existence to the sound that follows. I want sound…not just any sound but music! So silence opens into a world of speech… a world of music: I am the silence that speaks for the artist before he performs. Then comes music, speech, a site for vibration, respiration and movement – where sound vibrates, takes off soars and interacts. The moments of trapped silence only enhance the world of sounds; breaks where the mind is at rest like a bird between two flights, for the unsaid to be said. The moment of silence is marked and something that is awaited finally comes along: I am the artist’s silence while his hands speak. The artist’s hands finally sign the last notes, and the sound fades away. Silence once again comes alive and is bestowed with speech, hearing and sight: I am the silence that the artist leaves after his music fades away." My role: -To take part in the creative process by giving the artist the non-musical means to develop his vision. To support the artist.. -To daily represent without replacing the artist to allow him moments of solitude for creation. -To speak about the artist, his art, and provide him with a showcase to practise his art and share his performance. -To adapt. To understand the current world, its expectations, and desires. To make suggestions. To meet up and jointly plan out projects and ensure their success.____________________________________________________ ________ JE SUIS AUX DJ'S CE QUE LE SILENCE EST A LA MUSIQUE « Avant tout commencement, le silence. Mais il n’existe que par rapport au bruit qu’il précède. Moi, j’en veux du bruit ! Mais du bon bruit : de la musique. Je me tais donc et j’ouvre ainsi un nouvel espace à la parole, à la musique : Je suis le silence qui parle pour l’artiste avant qu’il ne joue. Puis vient la musique, la parole, lieu de résonance, de respiration et de mouvement - où le son va pouvoir vibrer, s’échapper, s’épanouir et s’échanger. Les sas de silence font goûter l'univers des sons ; des pauses où l'esprit se repose comme l’oiseau entre deux envols, pour que le non-dit se dise. Un silence est noté et l’on est dans l'attente de quelque chose et cette chose arrive : Je suis son silence pendant que ses mains parlent. Enfin, ses mains signent les dernières notes, le son s’apaise. Le silence reprend la parole, son écoute et sa vision : Je suis ce silence qu’il laisse une fois qu’il s’est tu. » Mon rôle : -Participer au processus créatif en amont, en apportant à l’artiste les moyens non musicaux de mettre au monde sa vision. L’accompagner. -Lui permettre de se retrouver face à lui-même pour créer, en le représentant au quotidien, sans pour autant se substituer à lui. -Parler de lui, de son œuvre, et l’exposer pour qu’il puisse exercer son art et partager sa performance. -S’adapter. Comprendre le monde dans lequel nous sommes, ses attentes, ses envies, proposer. Rencontrer, concevoir des projets ensemble pour les réaliser ensemble. |
