MySpace Layouts Il progetto C.M. (Clinicamente Morti) nasce nella provincia di Lecce nel maggio 2005 dall’ idea di due musicisti: Salvatore Camillo (ex C.O.M.A.) e Giovanni Leone (ex Gutha) rispettivamente chitarrista e batterista, già noti in ambito underground per i loro precedenti progetti musicali che gli han permesso di condividere il palco con band quali Extrema, C.o.v. ecc... Sin dall'inizio, il duo si concentra principalmente sulla stesura di pezzi propri. Col passare dei mesi, al nucleo principale dei Clinicamente Morti si aggiunge Gabriele Ianne come chitarra ritmica e solista. La band ancora incompleta è alla ricerca di un cantante e di un bassista, ma nello stesso tempo cerca di delineare un proprio sound, influenzato principalmente dal death metal di fine anni '80 e primi anni '90 di gruppi come Obituary, Sepultura, Fear Factory e Carcass, senza tralasciare le sonorità tipicamente thrash metal di gruppi quali Pantera, Kreator e Slayer. Nel settembre del 2005, Nico Parente entra a far parte dei C.M. in veste di cantante; completa la formazione l'entrata di Carlo Cantisani al basso, poco tempo dopo. La band finalmente completa procede così alla registrazione del suo primo demo ufficiale, dal titolo "Obitorio" che vede la luce nel marzo 2006. Prende avvio così la promozione di questa release, che riceve buoni riscontri sia da parte della critica, che del pubblico in sede live. Nel febbraio del 2007 la band subisce il suo primo cambio di line-up con l'uscita dal gruppo di Gabriele Ianne (chitarra ritmica e solista) e l'ingresso in formazione di Alessandro Cossa. Nel marzo dello stesso anno i C.M. supportano l'iberica brutal death metal band Avulsed, accompagnati dagli storici "svedesi d'Italia" Horrid (Milano), in una loro data al sud Italia. Poco dopo sempre sul fronte live il gruppo supporta in una loro data la black metal band pugliese Disguise. I brani facenti parte della prima release intanto approdano in varie compilation e split (Akompilation, Italia violenta, Extreme metal inside, ...). Nell'agosto del 2007 i C.M. partecipano al 5° South's Cheyenne Festival svoltosi a Torricella (TA), come co-headliners ai Fire Trails di Pino Scotto (ex Vanadium). Il 19 settembre si tiene il II Vulgar Festival a Manduria (TA) che vede come headliners Lividity (U.S.A.) e Master (Repubblica Ceca) supportati da Clinicamente Morti e Hopesend. Nei primi giorni di dicembre i Clinicamente Morti entrano nei Full Blast Studios di Fabrizio Giannone a Calimera (LE) per incidere il loro primo full lenght dal titolo “7”: il disco è un concept interamente basato sui sette peccati capitali, composto da otto tracce di corposo e tecnico thrash/death metal. Il full lenght esce sul finire di gennaio 2008, incominciando sin da subito ad ottenere ottimi riscontri fra critica e pubblico. Nel frattempo, sul versante live, a febbraio la band supporta al Target Club di Bari la leggendaria hardcore band italiana Raw Power, mentre al Bike & Rock di Manduria apre la serata che vede come headliner Malfeitor, nuovo progetto black metal di Fabban degli Aborym. Il gruppo è attualmente impegnato con la promozione del suo disco “7”. ALBUM SPLIT E COMPILATION C.M.
