| Emanuele Basuino nasce a Cosenza il 12/01/1979.
Fin da ragazzino è stato sempre attento all’ascolto fino ad iniziare l’arte dell’electric bass all’età di tredici anni .Inizia la sua esperienza in una banda punk locale ;seguono altre esperienze in gruppi rock locali ed esibizioni per lo piu’ in festival locali e centri sociali.
Da li inizia la sua evoluzione musicale che lo ha portato a viaggiare ed esplorare diversi generi e prospettive ,frequentare diversi maestri e colleghi ed essere allievo di Emiliano De luca noto bassista Jazz di Napoli .Di scuola Marcus Miller(con il quale hatenuto ben tre seminarii masterclass) guarda sempre con un occhio d’interesse verso il funk e la prospettiva musicale 70’s 80’s ,ma non anche il jazz-funk.
Gli artisti che di piu’ lo hanno influenzato sono Larry Graham ,ll maestro Miroslav Vitous ,dalle anime di Jaco pastorius ,dal carattere dei Grandi Miller ,Clarke e Wooten ,Sting (non ultimo..)ma anche TM Stevens e John Patitucci e il mitico Bootsy Collins.
Non nasconde l’interesse per il basso moderno dove strizza l’occhio a line hip-hop e electric dub ,reggae ,oltre che crossover : è versatile.
Suona con interesse il classic electric bass 4 string ,il five string ,fretless bass.
Vanta esperienze musicali in diversi club nel capoluogo partenopeo e dintorni ,oltre ad aver collaborato con musicisti locali .
Ora vive e a Napoli dove ,oltre ad essersi esibito a titolo di turnista ,suona con i Moodhula (funk/pop/’muffin-hip/melodico)e con un sestetto jazz ,i Bloopers.
Nel 2008 inizierà a lavorare al suo progetto personale che prevede l’uscita del suo primo album.Emanuele Basuino was born 11/01/1979 in Cosenza .When he was younger he was very sensible to the art of music :he began studying the electric bass since the age of 13.He had experiences in some band in calabria ,playing alternative music like punk and similars and had some exibithions in some places in calabria.At the age of 22 he moved to Naples ,where he found Emiliano De Luca ,an important jazz bass player who introduced him to the art of grooving .Emanuele Basuino love the Jaco’sway and Marcus Miller way too :he had 3 masterclass (bass clinics)with Marcus Miller .
Manu’s interested in funk, jazz ,underground ,70’ & 80’s basses and modern electric bass too.
He plays 4 string bass ,5 & 6 string bass and fretless and starting the art of upright bass
.He has experiences playing in some clubs in south italy and now he plays in 2 bands : Moodhula and Bloopers : Both from Naples
In 2008 Manu will start his peronal musical project that will take him to do his first album in 2009 .
