At age 15, tragedy stuck when “5” lost his mother, Carmen. He vowed to make something of himself and become a positive role model for young people growing up in similar situations.In addition, “5,” a Top 10 guard at Brooklyn’s Abraham Lincoln, H.S., secured an athletic scholarship to attend Big East - Syracuse University. Again, family issues prevented him from realizing his dream of playing basketball.As a man driven to succeed, “5” has steadily used adversity to strengthen and motivate him.
