***ENGLISH BIO***** Conscious Sound was born in 1999 in Naples from some members of the "roots fanzine" Reggae Revolution. The sound has the aim to spread and keep alive the social and spiritual message and in particular the roots of reggae music. The kinds preferred by us are Roots, Conscious, New Roots and Jah muzic. The sound has three members : Ras Ale (Mc & Silecta), Stadium Bwoy (Silecta) and FyahStation (Mc & Silecta). We don’t do any discriminations but we put a special attention on the lyrics which are often underestimated and sometimes turned into vulgar or violent content. We are inspired by the foundations, when the first sounds system were going around developing social and cultural functions describing all that was happening on the island. Our deep aspiration is tight connected to the meaning of the Reggae music. The mission is to awake the consciousness of all the people who listen this genre, sharing a message of love and respect, focusing on what is happening around us, never forgetting the teachings of His Imperial Majesty Hailè Selassie I, Christ and the spiritual basement of reggae music. We want to be still surprised by the beauties of Mother Nature, unfortunately always under menace of the man’s hand, and above all Love all people as yourself without distinction of colour of skin or religion. This is the line that we try to follow every day when we play or listen Reggae music. One Love Wi Promote – Unification Not Competion! Blessings! -----ITALIANO BIO ------ Conscious Sound nasce nel 1999 a Napoli, da alcuni componenti della crew della “roots fanzine” Reggae Revolution. Il duro lavoro con la rivista ha permesso alla crew di accrescere la propria conoscenza e grazie alle traduzione delle interviste ed al confronto con gli artisti più importanti aprendo nuovi orizzonti musicali ma anche umani e spirituali. Il Sound è nato con l’obbiettivo di diffondere e mantenere vivo il messaggio sociale e spirituale ed in particolar modo le radici della musica in levare. I generi da noi prediletti sono Roots , Conscious, New Roots e Jah muzic. Non discriminiamo per questo gli altri generi ma stiamo attenti ai contenuti che spesso sono sottovalutati, questo perché troppe volte nelle dancehall si ascoltano pezzi dal contenuto volgare o violento. Per questo abbiamo iniziato una campagna per sensibilizzare sulle lyriche omofobiche e violente quando ancora non c’era tutta quest’attenzione in campo internazionale ( vedi www.reggaezion.com ). Per noi la musica è una missione. Ci ispiriamo alle fondamenta, quando i sound giravano in Jamaica e svolgevano anche funzioni sociali e divulgative di tutto quello che accadeva sull’isola. La nostra profonda aspirazione è collegata strettamente al significato della musica Reggae . Essa è costituita dal risvegliare e suscitare la consapevolezza delle persone che ascoltano questo genere , nel condividere un messaggio d’amore e di rispetto , nel vigilare su cio’ che avviene intorno a noi , dimostrare alle persone che è ancora possibile credere nei valori trasmessi da Cristo e Rastafari , senza doversi sentire strani o diversi , meravigliarsi ancora per le bellezze di Madre Natura la quale purtroppo è sempre minacciata dalla mano dell’uomo, e soprattutto amare se stessi come si amano i proprio fratelli.
