Layout by CoolChaserAbout 9 is the solo project of British musician and producer Jake Skinner. Hailing from Cornwall, he grew up in various places and currently lives in Brighton. He is a multi-instrumentalist and producer, fusing elements of folk, nu-jazz, hip-hop, ambient, trip hop, electronica, and classical music into his own unique, intricate downtempo sound. His music is a sensitive expression of everyday thoughts and moods, realised through a blend of organic instrumentation, electronic soundscapes, and a mixture of live drums and electronic beats. His first EP entitled 'Comfortable Silence' was released on September 1st 2008 on Summer Rain Recordings.He also currently plays drums in Keltrix (festie-folk band), guitar in The Junk (ska/punk), and has recently collaborated with hip-hop producer 'Cire' under the name Generator.
