In 2006, thanks to this need, Tom (singer),Pissi (guitar) and Ian (drums), who have already been playing together, decided with the new bassist Nardo to form the band. Their sound, decidedly rock, let emerge grunge, postrock, psychedelic rock, funk and alternativepop sonorities. Their style is essential but never expected. The name “Novonada” symbolize in a provocative and sarcastic way the madness of making something impossibile. In fact, if we literary analyze this word, we discover that it means “nothing new”. In this conception, the word “nothing” means something unattainable, like an utopia. Therefore, the name of the band becomes the first sample to discover one of the main themes told in their songs. During their first year of activity, they played in several places getting also some recognitions such as the second place at “ToskanaKontest 2007 and opening Modena city Ramblers’ concert.
