THERE ARE NO BOUNDARIES...

Not wanting to be confined to any specific subject matter, nor restrained by stylistic limitations, Infinitum seemed to be the only fitting title. With this in mind, the philosophy is simple, the possibilities are as limitless as time and space itself.

Infinitum formed in 2005, arising from the ashes of two of Canberra's most prominent metal bands; Psychrist and Dehuman.

Psychrist was founded in the early 90's, and released albums such as The Abysmal Fiend, Embrace Rapture in Dusgust and Debauching the Minions, which gained them a reputation as one of the leading extreme metal acts in Australia. They parted ways in 2004. Dehuman was originally formed in around '93. Although they never recorded a complete album, they gained a similar reputation to Psychrist, and the two bands played together frequently. They parted ways in 2000.

With the demise of Dehuman, and Psychrist, some of the band members still shared a common desire to create music that is brutal and technical, so work began on some inital tracks. In 2006 a self-titled demo was recorded, and some gigs were played, which seemed to be generate a lot of interest in the metal community.

After a few lineup changes, Infinitum is now comprised of musicians who all have similar goals; to play extreme music that is interesting, and to bring it to the public. With the release of their debut album "Behold Eradication" there are plans to tour in Australia, and to see what opportunities lie overseas.
