About Me
You will most likely find me playing out at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Or other faires too -- it's basically an obsession... I attend as a faery, a pirate, a gypsy, and a myriad of other folks that don't have developed characters yet. Myself, Deadbishop, and all of our Ren friends have quite the time at Fest. It is one of the best things that has happened to me - finding my Fest-self. teehee I'm also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. So should you need any skin care, cosmetics, fragrances, or spa products, I'm your gal! And I am always up for growing my team, so if you are interested, we can talk! So several of my friends, on a recent journey to my home, expressed amazement at my being a "cow" person. Yes, I do in fact love cows - and more than just on my plate -- they did help put me through college after all! I have a collection of them actually. I also collect Barbies, camels, faeries, ferrets, pianos, and sheet music. These things make me happy, and I try to enjoy my hobbies whenever I can. DB and I are the proud parents of Casper, Merlin and Faerie - our ferrets. We are quite enamoured with them. I am like any proud momma, and have posted some pics of my kids. grin Merlin and Faerie entered our lives on the anniversary of me and DB's 11th year of marriage. So we are still getting to know them. Plus, I've included my cat, Saucy, from when I was in high school, in the pics of my fur children. She was a big part of my life, so I could not leave out her lovely mug, Hell spawn that she was. lol In fact, animals have always been a big part of who I am, so don't be surprised to see more pics of my babies as time passes, be they the carpet sharks we've had over the past few years, or pets who have long since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. What else...I guess I'll leave it at that for now, and let you read the other areas that are highlighted... Oh yeah...I'm a Virgo, so I like to make lists... AND I'm addicted to these stupid MySpace surveys and quizzes...sigh Why me? My Interests
I like Renaissance Festivals - so far I've been to the Minnesota fest, and Texas RF, Wisconsin, Bristol, Tennessee, Martin Luther College RF in New Ulm MN and Olde World RF in Twig MN. I love music - listening to and engaging in - I sing as well as play the piano and flute. I feel like I could constantly surround myself with music, and that would make me so much happier. Cooking - This blows my mind because I never used to be able to make mac and cheese without worrying about how it would turn out. But now, I truly enjoy being able to make something wonderful to eat. If my husband and friends like it too, so much the better. I bake off and on as well, but I'd rather cook. As my former boss puts it - he likes to bake - "Cooking is an Art, whereas Baking is a Science." Yep, I'd rather be able to slop a bunch of various things in a bowl and have it turn out fantastic, than have to precisely measure each specific ingredient. Don't get me wrong - baked goods rock! But cooking is more my style. :) Video games - It is all DB's fault! I blame him completely! Reading - I have always loved it, and I always will. I'll read anything. I started off on encyclopedias as a tot, so if that gives you any idea... Watching movies and anime - Wow, I love to sit and watch stuff on my tv that isn't tv... Hanging out with friends - Yeah you know who you are! My kids -- well, they are ferrets, but they are family. I've always loved animals, and I've always had pets, and they have always been a very important part of my life. Music: I like most anything - barring most rap, R&B, and hip-hop. It's just not my thing. I really enjoy country music the most.
