About Me
Blessed Le Strange sculpted their own genre of music from shards of metal, pieces of rock, and a wink of indulgence and nostalgia. Blessed’s irreverence to current musical trend spawned a strange hybrid of music, a self-titled genre of Cabaret Metal (Cabaret Roque, if you will). Among the créatures de mort of Los Angeles, Blessed Le Strange offers its patrons-provocateur a place in a world of decayed decadence. The infamous Blessed Le Strange paint a tale of dark and glamorous creatures dancing, merrily admonishing the theme of a curiously beautiful life. Blessed Le Strange allows their citizen patron fans to come and go as they please in their cabaret, permitting fabulous and fantasy, alongside their cavalier sound. The blessed tongues will lick your ears and tempt your eyes to come calling again, to be one of us. Now, what did you say you are?...Strange---------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- PRESENTING ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- C. Kita Klane (Lead Vocals) wandered the streets of Prague as a ragamuffin, until she was kidnapped by a band of traveling gypsies who taught her the art of puppet-making and eventually initiated her as one of their own. A brief stint in the French-Algerian Peace Corps left Kita with the ability to kill a man eighty-four different ways with her bare hands, and a taste for leather. Kita was touched by the Saint herself after a whim brought her to the city of lights where a transvestite stole her car and led her to stardom, so they called it even. Kita says she’s Strange. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------Matt Gottesman (Percussion) hails from the village of Encino where the stop signs are plentiful and it’s always your turn. At the ripe age of 3, young Master Matthew was sent away to a swiss monastery to study the art of drumming. Matt decided he was too highly evolved for religion, or brunch, and skipped town to Sweden where he posed as a dental hygienist and is known as the “hookah-spoiler” in the hardcore underground death metal scene. Matt saw St. Blessed in a vision from the green fairy and a blow to the head, he now spreads her gospel on satin sheets between doorknobs. Matt says he’s Strange. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- Francois Matt LeBrun IV (Bass/Guitars/Back-Up Vocals) amassed a small fortune on the illegal pheasant crating. After witnessing an enlightening fire works display, Matt quit the blood-sport biz and disappeared, only to turn up in Buenos Aires three years later with a mysterious scar and a clean suit. Matt heard the saints heavenly whispers on a shamanic vision quest in the Peruvian jungle where a small reptile urged him to hop a flight to Rio and join the party. Matt says he’s Strange. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- Christ Shilakes (Guitars) comes to us on loan as a principle component of the traveling band of maverick goat wranglers that is Chotto Ghetto. It tickles us sick to have Chris playing the gospel.
