| BERRI TXARRAK was formed in 1994. Coming from the Basque Country, this young band has released 5 records, with a constant evolution that mixes alternative rock, energy, punk, hardcore, metal and some amazing melodies. Singing in euskera (basque language), BERRI TXARRAK has become one of the best rock bands within the Spanish State's panorama. Their last two albums, called "LIBRE (c)" and "JAIO.MUSIKA.HIL" were praised as best 'spanish' rock/hardcore albums in 2003 and 2005 by such important magazines as Rock Sound (now Rockzone) or Mondosonoro. "Libre (c)" featured a guest appearence by RISE AGAINST singer Tim Mc Ilrath. BERRI TXARRAK love highly emotive, fresh and energetic songs with clever poethic lyrics not refusing to claim against every kind of injustice around and pro freedom of speech and thought. BERRI TXARRAK is a power trio who's already toured trhough Germany, USA, UK, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Nicaragua, Mexico, Catalunya... Their latest album 'JAIO.MUSIKA.HIL' was recorded by Karlos Osinaga (Lisabö) and mixed by ED ROSE at his Black Lodge Studios in Kansas. In late 2007, Berri Txarrak released "ZERTARAKO AMESTU" (Why Dream), a really interesting and emotive documentary on the band's philosophy, tour-diary and recording process in black and white. The DVD also includes a special live show by the band in Gernika (Basque Country). This documentary won the Best Video of the Year Gaztea Award in 2008. "This band is different". Musikalki garapen geldiezinean murgilduta, rock alternatibotik abiatu eta hardcorea, punka, metala, energia eta melodia ahaztezinak batzen ditu Berri Txarrakek. Euren azken bi lanak (LIBRE (c) eta JAIO.MUSIKA.HIL) 2003 eta 2005eko estatuko rock/hardcore diskorik nabarmenen artean kokatu izan dituzte hainbat musika aldizkari garrantzitsuk (Rock Sound -orain Rockzone- edo Mondosonoro esaterako). Libre diskoan RISE AGAINST taldeko Tim Mc Ilrath-en kolaborazio sonatua izan zuten bertako kantu batean. BERRI TXARRAK-ek emozio biziko kantuak maite ditu, freskoak eta energiaz beterikoak, mezuari garrantzi handia emanez beti ere, ikutu poetikoz zipriztinduta zenbaitetan eta askotan inguruko bidegabekerien aurka eta pentsamendu zein adierazpen askatasunaren alde aldarri eginez. BERRI TXARRAK egun hirukoa da, power-trio delakoa, eta jadanik hainbat herrialdetan jotzen aritu izan da: Alemania, Danimarka, Suitza, Estatu Batuak, Nikaragua, Mexiko, Ingalaterra, Irlanda, Katalunya, eta abar. 2006. urtean "Jaio.Musika.Hil" diskoaren aurkezpen bira erraldoiean buru belarri dabil taldea, zuzeneko bizi eta indartsuak eskainiz han eta hemen.
