| Dj WhoAmI was born in Athens in 1972 and grew up between Athens and Cairo. In 1987 after a couple of months in NYC and the Philadelphia 76ers basketball camp hip-hop music and culture becomes his main influence. Professionally djing since 1992 has played literally in any club worth playing at in Athens (Soul, Venue, Plus Soda, Club 22, U-matic, Z-oo, Bar Guru Bar, Privilege, Crystal, Yoga Bala, Home, Bo, Danza, Follie, 1-22 to name just a few). At the moment he holds residencies every Friday @ SANTA BOTELLA UPSTAIRS and together with dj Everlast as “Basic Groove” once a month @ Yoga-Bala spinnin’ and mixin’ a wide range of black music from Funk, Soul, Reggae to Hip-Hop and Breaks. Active also as a promoter running 1-22 for six strait years (1999-2004) has organized numerous events and invited djs and mcs from all over the world (Maxi Jazz, Keith Lawrence, Total Science, Manasseh, Spikey T, Starting from Scratch, dj Starsky, Ras Styler…) My World Visitor Map! |
