I tre marziani dietro al monicker Dimension X sono MASSIMO PUPILLO (basso, ZU), CHRIS CORSANO (batteria, nella touring band di BJORK e sul disco Volta, collabortaore di THURSTON MOORE, JIM O ROURKE, etc.) ed il francese David Chalmin (chitarra ed elettroniche, una carriera divisa tra art-rock e progetti di video-arte). Un progetto che approfittando dell’esperienza decennale dei nostri, ci propone un sound serrato, ispirato ad un ipotetico lungometraggio sci-fi, simulazione tempestosa di quello che potrebbe essere un incontro ravvicinato del terzo tipo. E le capacità quasi ‘tentacolari’ dei 3 musicisti sembrano proprio re-incarnare la figura di un mostro dall’iperspazio. Suggestivo cesello al lavoro la copertina-poster curata da Scarful, artista e illustratore romano, fido braccio destro degli Zu per le passate pubblicazioni e nome di assoluto richiamo nei circuiti della nuova graphic-art. E’ a Roma, nel 2006, che i tre cominciano a registrare a ruota libera. Alcuni stralci di Dimension X, trasmissione radio leggendaria tra gli appassionati di fantascienza negli anni ‘50 (le storie apparivano originariamente sul periodico Astounding Science Fiction), sono stati impiegati nella gestazione dell'album, strutturato attorno a cinque pezzi guida.
