| At a time when terrorism is rampant around the globe; at a time when American soldiers are dying in Iraq; at a time of record deficits and a weak job market; and at a time when millions of Americans have no health insurance, more people chose to cast their vote in defiance of a man marrying a man and stem cell research than on any of these issues. This is a dark time for America.The morning after the election, driving to my grandmother's house, a rather violent sneeze caused me to jerk my Volvo into a telephone poll.Luckily, as I sulked out of the car, blood pouring down my face, I was greeted by a man who turned out to be the head of neurosurgery at Yale. He tended to my wounds, called 911, yelled at the first paramedic on the scene when he tried to insist I wear a neck brace, and assured the police officer I had done no wrong.Sitting in the back of the Ambulance, blood still gushing, nose clearly broken, blazer/pants/shirt/shoes ruined, car totaled, all that kept running through my mind was 'What am I to do? How can we endure 4 more years?'At the Yale New Haven ER they couldn't understand why I answered the question 'How are you feeling?' with a "the agony is almost too much to bear" but to the question concerning pain on a scale from 1 to 10 only pointed to the smiley face with a 1 stamped on his forehead.They didn't understand, but perhaps you do...(I'm currently recovering from a state of mild disbelief and severe post-election depression. However, here's my pre-election profile)I've made Dave Foley laugh.I'm overly introspective, analytic, love to ponder, always game.I can find humor in most anything, fear introversion, am frequently updated.My mom says I'm the most handsome kid in school.I always wonder what you're thinking, always listen, enjoy awkward pauses.I'm goofy and I love it, a klutz, and a certified genius.I love a good debate, value trust, am naively loyal.I think I'm hilarious,
