I'd like to meet:Anyone who loves animals or is interested in animal welfare. PLEASE HELP AND SUPPORT HOMELESS DOGS IN TAIWAN! Please read: Dear Myspace friend,I fly dogs out of Taiwan to Toronto, Vancouver and San Fransisco, and am looking for people/rescue groups to liaise with airplane passengers at the nearest main airport and pick up the dogs.The re-homing situation in Taiwan is dire, and there are so many beautiful mixed breed dogs here that desperately need a loving home. So, I send them abroad knowing that they will have a better chance of a more fulfilling life.Most of them, due to the position dogs traditionally have in Chinese society, have been abused and would either have been euthanized or stayed living on the streets.Having come from such difficult and unstable backgrounds these dogs are so grateful of a second chance, that they are extremely loyal and make excellent companions. I would be so grateful if you could help us.I am appealing to people who want to obtain a Taiwanese dog. It is actually cheaper to rescue a Taiwanese dog from abroad, than to buy a dog from a breeder, and Taiwanese dogs really are unique!The fee for a Taiwanese rescue dog covers the vaccinations, microchip and shipping and is around 465 Canadian Dollars. I am asking for no money up front. Just forward it to me when the dog is permanently re-homed.I arrange all the details and only need someone who is willing to pick up the dogs from the airport and foster it until the new owners are ready.Usually I have no problems finding new owners, but if you know someone who would love to have a special Taiwanese dog, please let me know!
