About Me

If you are looking for a great radio station to listen to I'd suggest tuning in Roots 90.3 FM in Allentown PA. We do it 24/7 and are kicking butt in the Lehigh Valley.
If you are an Americana/Roots Rock/Folk artist and are from the Lehigh/Delaware valley please send us your CD: WXLV c/o Chance Austin 4525 Education Park Dr., Schnecksville, PA 18078 You can listen on-line at
www.WXLV.org
I do a radio show from 12 noon - 4 on Weds where you'll hear the best blend of Americana, Classic Rock, Roots and Folk. This is a new format for the Lehigh Valley and the station pretty much broadcasts it 24/7. So tune it in and enjoy. Listen on-line

The reason I call myself "Your most humbled host, Chance Austin' is because, I was truly humbled by a woman, when I caused her to leave me. Then I realized she was right, but it was too late for her.

Ever wonder what happens when they shut down a store for Inventory?

They go inside and count the parts and pieces that are left at the end of the year.

Then they figure what was broken, stolen, mis-labeled or just out of date.

That way they can restock their shelves and see if they have made a profit.

Funny how life is like that, every now and then we need to go inside and look at what has been broken, stolen, damaged and out of date.

The problem comes up when you start thinking it's all damaged goods.

That nothing inside is worth keeping. But slowly as you sift through the piles of broken promises, hurt feelings, angry moments, you find a glimpse of a happy moment, a list of things you did for others, a few gifts you gave. There in the corner a helping hand you thought you lent and didn't get back.

It's a hard task to do each year, but every now and then, just when you think you are just full of junk, someone yells from the back room, "Hey, I found a box of unopened goodness, what do you want to do with it?"

I hope your trip into your stock room is not just filled with returned damaged goods, but a whole store room full of Goodness that someone who just couldn't tell the good from bad had simply mislabeled.

Remember this for it is true
You never met the man I am ,
I didn't find him till you were gone.
He's everything you'd ever want or need, reliable, true and strong
But you'll search the world to find your dream
and one day realize where it was all along.

As Billy Joe Shaver says "I'm Just An Old Chunk Of Coal, But I'll Be A Diamond Some Day"

Hence, I am your "Humbled" host and I hope that I can bring cheer and enjoyment to your day.
So please, tune in on Weds 12-4 pm est., I'll play you some great music, we can laugh and cry together, as we explore some of the greatest singer/song writers of our time on Roots 90.3 XLV.

My Interests

..

I'd like to meet:

Here it is, our biggest and most ambitious issue to date, the April Issue (#6) of the MEDIA GUIDE.

This month we take time out to remember the peaceful and talented Buck Jones. It's been a year since Buck was taken away and his friends Allison Moorer, Billy Block, Walt Wilkins and Ray Wylie Hubbard share their thoughts with Big Kev.

This month's features include a great 60 minute audio interview with Allison Moorer by syndicated radio host Big Kev. The Big Man also brings us The Motel Time Series with acoustic "in-room" performances and interviews with The DERAILERS, Carolyn Wonderland, Seth Walker and The South Austin Jug Band. Kev's column "Ask The Consigliere" from Windows on Texas.
We've got New Music Features for some great new releases from rock legend Bonnie Bramlett and Blues Master Albert Castiglia. The new UNDERGROUND ROOTS section features new music from Chip Taylor and Frank Carillo and the Bandoleros.
As usual we feature some outstanding Independent Musicians. Features and interviews with Brian Ashley Jones, the Doc Marshalls, Bill Kelly, Tim Scott and ex-Houserockers lead man Bill Toms.
The Del Lords ex front-man Scott Kempner talks about his new project 'Saving Grace' and the re-release of the Del Lords catalog.
All in all it's over 100 pages of pure ROOTS! Over 40 pages of INTERACTIVE Audio and Video Content! Music reviews, and MUCH MORE!
