THE DIELECTRIC will also be working with written word,vocals,narratives and performance-art, film produced,performed,recorded and directed by various emerging and established cross-over underground artists from around the world on the international music art-scene.................on-line interference............transmission to be resdumed as soon as possible..................www.thedielectric.org THE DIELECTRIC TRILOGY SERIES 2008 THE DIELECTRIC would like to offically announce a brand new forthcoming trilogy series of EP’s due to be released in 2008 on three different formats via three individual record labels.The focus and motivation behind this inspired trilogy project dreamed-up by founder member J.HOOKENS [ formerly JERICO ONE ] is to experiment and explore new sound and conceptual visual ideas outside the standard band-format and to work with a rotating line-up of new and established artists on the international music-art scene. The first part of the series is entitled ’ Rapid-Eye Assemblage’ ( EP ) VOL-1 conceived between London, Manchester,Berlin and Japan in late December 2006 and October 2007 and marks the beginning of a darkly-beautiful and atmospheric journey undertaken by ( The Dielectric ) to produce and create what can only be best described as a thunderous cacophony of intense melody meets pulsing nightmare soundscapes with an avant-garde mix of edgy, abrasive skull-snapping beats and sub-bass dubtronics ’Rapid-Eye Assemblage’ documents THE DIELECTRIC’S first original compositions/ demos recorded by J.HOOKENS Together with established underground Berlin vocalist and multi-instrumentalist MONA MUR , best known for her collaborations with FM Einheit, Marc Chung and Alex Hacke of EINSTURZENDE NEUBAUTEN and En Esch formerly KMFDM , Dieter Meier of YELLO and the Warsaw Philharmonic to name but a few, who contributes her vocals / lyrics and sound ideas to the tracks ’Operative’ and ’Shadowless co-written and produced with Hookens . The EP also includes the Japanese underground writer and webcaster KENJI SIRATORI who approached THE DIELECTRIC to create a dark-tapestry of sound for his spoken-word composition ’Asylum’ with music-backing courtesy of Hookens plus London based artist-contributor and sound engineer/ producer D.ESCOTT Aka ELECTRO FUNK ROCKERS/ AWAX who co-wrote the track ’Mechanisms’ with Hookens. This very special limited-edition EP will only be available via mail-order on CD format on hand-printed chrome body print with 3 alternative front covers and is strictly limited to just 500 copies. Marking a transition from the cinematic and spine-chilling filigree noisescapes of the first eponymous EP, ’In The Flicker Of An Eye’ voyages into a slow-seductive and dance-oriented direction for this second release. Featuring the groups mellifluously moody signature and abstract musical-settings fused with fragmented collages of cut-up electronic noise that takes you further into the wonderful and frightening world of THE DIELECTRIC. Full of shimmering textures, melodies and dark pulsating experimental-grooves that fizz with tension and intrigue, this 5-track ( EP) utilizes both acoustic sound sources and traditional digital-analog recording technologies fused together with vocals and beats that happen in real-time. Predominantly written and performed by Hookens on his travels around Europe ’In The Flicker Of An Eye ’ is accompanied by a new line-up of collaborators for this recording - including Netherlands improv jazz musician Martin K.Lewis on the track ’Introjection ’ and London based artist/producer ‘The Fellow Traveler’ also Finland artist Martin Host Aka PROJECT BLUE as well as long-time collaborator and friend D.Escott on the dreamy psychedelic dub-dance inspired track ’ Flitter’. The EP also features London based vocalist / lyricist ‘Karren King’ who got in touch with Hookens via Myspace to ask him to create some music for her lyrics’s and the result is a beautiful-down tempo and haunting track entitled ’Belief’. This 5-track digital release will be officially released on the new experimental off-shoot label set up by MARK STEWART AKA THE MAFFIA and THE POP GROUP called ‘FREAKS R US’ to be distributed by the URBCOM record label and will only be available on digital-only format via iTunes / Napster worldwide.
