About Me |

Charetta is a five piece female-fronted alternative rock band from New York City. They formed in 2007 with singer Angelina DelCarmen, guitarist Pablo LaFrossia, drummer Adonis Sanchez and bassist Richard Mollo. In 2008, guitarist Dave Chisholm joined the group and completed the band’s current lineup. Charetta's sound can be described as groove and bottom-heavy, blending passion and aggression with hook-driven melodies. In December of 2007, the band recorded an impressive three song demo with producer Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Creed, Framing Hanley). They are currently in the planning stages to produce their first full length cd with Brett Hestla later this year. Charetta performs regularly in and around the New York City metropolitan area and other select east coast venues. In May 2008, they were invited to perform as a showcase artist at the Florida Music Festival in Orlando, FL and received rave reviews from the fans and industry professionals in attendance. They have recently been selected to perform in the M.E.A.N.Y. Festival in New York City, which will take place in October 2008.
