Sean G. is a native of Washington DC. He has been playing music since the age of 6. But, it all started and really got going in the early 90's when Sean G. was in Alabama with the group 3-way. 3-Way played at various functions at Tuskegee University. Later, Sean G moved back to Washington DC and became a member of the GOGO band "The Underground". As a Singer and Keyboardist he learned how to work with others, playing difficult parts that were heavily synchronized together. Sean G. soon began creating different beats using all types of music from sampling, to actually playing the parts like samples. Later, a move to LA taught him how to record, engineer, and put his music into production. He has worked with many artists and producers in the LA area, along with artists in Germany. I 'm feelin': Busta, Anthony Hamilton, Mint Condition, Jill Scott, Floetry, Angie Stone. Rare Essence, Junkyard Band, Bob Marley, Tribe Called Quest, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Dr. DRE, Snoop, Musiq, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Pattie Labelle, Luther, Stevie Wonder, Chuck Brown, Kirk Franklin, Mary J. Blige, T.I.... and many MORE. All of these artists really know what it takes and means to work, really hard in this business, even when you have a GOD given talent. Sounds Like: My sound comes from a variety of places. I'm originally from D.C., so GO-GO music has played a large role in the structure of my beats. I also have strong feelings for contemporary Jazz due to a classical background as a child. In the D.C. area MD/VA there were alot of dope poets, rappers, singers and musicians(bands) with natural talent (They weren't taught). A lot of the musicians grew up in the streets playin' various THINGS (not instruments all the time). I was always tryin' to check out different groups to get a sense of what type of sound I wanted to create. I played in a few bands through High School and performed on many occassions throughout the country. Through the years, being a singer, musician, producer and audio engineer, I have gained lots of love for R&B and Hip-Hop because they have paved the way in the music industry. In the early 80's I was surrounded by GO-GO and Rap music mostly. But, having a chance to move and Live in the Dirty-South (Alabama) and later moving to LA changed my style even more. Big ups to the PLUGZ FAM. and the CIRCLE! TUSKEGEE, YOU KNOW! HOLLA! Now, I'm basically tryin' not to have any one style.
