| Believe it or not, my name is Diem.Professional photographer at large, currently in Canada. Born in Poland, I have spent the past fourteen years in Vancouver where I reside currently, but I am feeling that my time here is slowly coming to its end. Currently I spend one week per month in Vancouver to take care of my local clients, and rest of the time I spend traveling, working either for the music industry or on contract with a company who is a content provider to hotels around the world. I get my tickets, travel itinerary and a list of hotels to shoot and off I go.Me, according to my friends:Perpetual tourist, photographer at large. Loyal. Professional, hard working, with good head on my shoulders. I have been called 'proper', but that only means that I have been tought my manners and can carry myself well... I know how to have good, classy fun. Intelligent, tough and independent but always open to good criticism to set me straight. Although independence is sexy, I know when to ask for a hand without seeing it as a weakness.Likes:Photobooths. Traveling with my camera while getting paid to do it is a dream come true. The music industry has been graciously providing me with that pleasure, too bad not more often. That's when I shoot hotels and travel destinations. I love cultures different from my own, studying new languages, meeting new people... Drop me off anywhere in the world and in five minutes I will find my way around, have my currency exchanged, have made three new friends and will know where I'm going.Love mountains and the ocean, regardless of the fact that I live in a metropolis. Above all I value a healthy balance in everything I do. I value spirituality, few minutes before falling asleep, yoga, I strongly believe in karma...but on the same note I can change my own oil, filter, do my brakes and timing belt in my beloved little rocket. I only look delicate, but I am a one tough cookie with a wrench...or a camera.I try to surround myself with one of a kind people, those who inspire me and from whom I can learn about myself... For my friends I would do absolutely everything.I love watching my greyhound running down the beach at speeds of 70 kmph, while being photographed by dozens of Japanese tourists ;). Every day try to live up to the image my dog has of me.Dislikes:Red lights, carnation flowers, being dependent, intolerance, flakiness, lies, narrow-mindedness, racism and homophobia, disrespect, lack of manners, plain stupidity. | |

Television:...is a waste of time. Have a big screen? Trade it for an airplane ticket to see a temple in Cambodia. Nothing you will ever see on that screen will be as touching, guaranteed. |
