| ..This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor MySpace Profile Editor The High notes started in the middle of 2005, when me and Nuno were talking and Nuno say'd he wanted to sing in a band again, while I wanted to give it a try playing piano and do a rock'n'roll band. As I had no idea how to play piano I had to start piano lessons. After a short while we were allready reheasing with João (ex-Alley Kings) at the bass and Nando (Dixie boys) at the guitar. Things were going slow for several reasons: Not much time to rehearse, piano lessons, etc... Nando restarted to play with the Dixie boys and left the band and João had no time to be in a band and quit also. We had to find a new guitar player and bass player. Ernesto from 49 Special joined the team with his bass and Oscar from the Mean Devils picked his guitar. Meanwhile the bands sound started to mature as we were picking new songs had a better idea of the sound we wanted. We made a few gigs here in the Porto area at Uptown bar, Porto rio, etc... The year 2007 started and Oscar had no time for all the bands he was at (Mean Devils, Western X, Prostitutes and High notes) and left the band. We were booked for the "Great shakin Fever weekender" and we had a recording session for 2 songs in a new portuguese Rockabilly/rock'n'roll compilation called "Rockin' around Portugal". We had to find another guitar player and so Mario from 49 Special Joined the band. So 2007 became year 1 for this band. The band played a rock'n'roll festival and was booked for 2 shows at the new CD presentation Porto and Lisbon and recently we did a "Cais do sodre cabaret" party. Toki |
