DJ Jobo is a professional DJ/Selector and also an event promoter based in London. He’s been active in the DJ club culture for some years now with a passion for Hip-hop, Dancehall (Bashment), Soca, Soul, R’n’B, Slow Jams, UK Garage and hip/hi life music. Jobo started playing mainly at house parties and private function’s then managed to secure a weekly spot every Thursday in Rococo’s and Saturday’s in NYT (West End, London) His experience is impressive and his mixes are amazing when he put the needle on the records. Jobo has an outstanding knack for reading a crowd and knowing what they want to hear in the club. He has also played in some big clubs in Scotland i.e. Trash (Glasgow), Blankett (Glasgow), Cube (Glasgow), The Arches (Glasgow), Massa (Edinburgh), Faith (Edinburgh) and some venue’s in London including Ministry of Sound (Summer Affair 2005), Brixton Mass, Stratford Rex, Departure Lounge (formerly called market bar), Platinum bar, Silks and Spice, Bankside, Rain Forest Cafe, Sound, Rococo, The Yacht Club@ Temple Pier (THE BOAT), Bar Rumba , Coronet - Elephant and Castle (Ghana Independence Dance) etc. Jobo’s good rep as a mix DJ got him booked to support/play alongside DJ Whookid (50 cent’s DJ), Clinton Sparks (P. Diddy’s DJ), Tim Westwood (BBC Radio 1, Def Jam UK, MTV) , Chris Goldfinger, (BBC Radio 1), Seani B (BBC 1extra), Ronnie Harrell (BBC 1extra), FYA, DJ Kofi. Jobo is a mix DJ who is one to watch out for. His mix tapes/mix cd’s are also one of the mega mixes you should watch out for. His current mixtape volume 23 is one cd which you need in your life if you’re a Hip-hop, R&B, Dancehall (Bashment) fan.
