| BIO Jose Santos (born March 21, 1987), better known by his stage name BATA , is a Dominican-American rapper/producer. BATA was born & Raised in The Rough Drug Infested Criminal Streets Of Washington Heights, Uptown Manhattan, a community of A Dominican Republic heritage. He Grew Quick Within The Criminal Lifestyle Surrounded By Drugs, Dealers, Gang bangers, Thief's, & Murderers (HE SAYS) "SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS WAS EITHER HUSTLING, ROBBING OR BOTH". As A Young Minority Growing Up In Poverty Is Hard To Find The Good When All You See And Know Is The Bad (HE SAYS) "I'M SOMETHING LIKE A YOUNG KANE IN MENACE TO SOCIETY". He Got Involved With Hip Hop After Listing To The Classic Album The Chronic From Dr Dre And From There On He Put His Heart Into Music. In The late 2002, Bata Started Getting In Touch With His Passion For Music And Went On To Start Producing Tracks And Learning How To Play Drums, Piano, & Guitars Etc. In September 2006, A Family Friend (LUZiTY) Of Bata Started Giving Him Beats So From There On He Started Making His Plans For A Future In The Music Industry. Since Then He Released A Mixtape In The Summer Of 07 Called The Chess Move On August 11th ,Establishing Himself As An Up And Coming Artist In His Home Town He Is Now Currently Working On His Demo & Mixtape Witch Can B Due Out By The Summer Of 2008 Stay Tuned For More .
