| DAYCORE nace en febrero de 1999 en la ciudad de Medellín Colombia;momento en el cual la banda comienza tanto su composición musical como temática.Su temática con líricas en ingles evoca la cruda realidad que se vive en el mundo actual con criticas constructivas y señalando acontecimientos violentos que de una u otra nos afectan.
DAYCORE comienza a grabar un sencillo a finales del año 2002, "UNCONSCIENCE" que consta de 4 tracks donde se combina el thrash metal con elementos del death metal; dándole a la banda el toque que los ha caracterizado. Luego de promocionar dicho trabajo por diferentes medios; DAYCORE hace su lanzamiento el 14 de julio de 2002 en el teatro "porfirio barbajacob", y el 28 de julio en el teatro principal de marinilla Ant. después de esto la banda empieza a trabajar en su nuevo material. En este momento hay un tema de nuestro trabajo "THE BEGINNING OF PURGATORY" en la recopilación TRUE METAL SUBVERSIÓN 2 llamado "DARK VISIONS FROM THE OTHER SIDE".A principios del 2005 aparecen en una compilacion en Inglaterra del sello CONQUER RECORDS.Actualmente la banda comenzara a grabar un videoclip que se espera salga antes del lanzamiento de "THE BEGINNING OF PURGATORY". En el 2006 Daycore se presenta a las eliminatorias del festival Altavoz en la ciudad de Medellin en la categoría Metal ganando la categoría junto a la banda paisa Tenebrarum y un puesto para tocar en el festival Altavoz Internacional donde compartió escena con bandas como: Perpetual, Masacre, Athanator, Resorte , Neurosis entre otras.
