I am just an old toymaker trying to make it in this age of computers & kids who are growing up not believing in me. I stay pretty busy with appearances from November through Christmas afternoon - so busy that I have trouble helping the elves get all the toys ready for Christmas Eve. In my mundane disguise, I am a structural engineer who has worked on commercial buildings, bridges, dams, etc., all over the US. I am currently working for a company who supplies the formwork & shoring to build those structures. I have just become a Certified BBQ Judge through Memphis in May and through the Memphis Barbecue Network. I seem to be spending every Saturday eating barbecue. I'd like to meet:I have met many people in all walks of life over the years, from politicians (President Carter comes to mind) to actors (spent a couple of hours in conversation with Morgan Freeman a while back) to entertainers (Elvis, Rufus Thomas, Wynona & Naomi Judd, Tim & Faith, Justin Timberlake, Cher, and many, many more) to sports (Shaq surprised me once when he came up behind me & said Well hello there St. Nick & I am friends with many pro basketball & football players & quite a few pro wrestlers). As a young child, Fulgencio Batista (the one Castro ran out of Cuba) used to bounce me on his knee. There are many other people I would like to meet, but I still have got a lot of life left in me, so there is still time. |

Music:I like every kind of music but two. I hate the soprano arias in grand opera when she is stabbed & takes 20 minutes to die, singing all the time, & I cannot tolerate the profane & degrading lyrics in gansta rap. |

Movies:I see most movies before they come out for the general public. at any given time, of the 10-12 offerings in the theatres, I have seen at least 75-90% of them. |

Television:I am seldom home to watch tv. I usually am out at the movies or a concert or at a pub. |
