The german guitarist, singer and songwriter Olli Petersen started playing guitar in 1979 at the age of 13. His career began back in 1980 with the OPP-Band, where he played two years and he made his first expierience to stay on stage and to perform in front of a big crowd of people. In high school he founded with four schoolmates the band "Ricochet". The band played a completely new sound as a mixture between the 80ies new wave sound with rock and even classical influences. Disagreements in the band about the sound and style were the reasons why he quit the band after a successful time to join the 70iers coverband Scarlet Heels, a regional well known live act. In 1989 a former schoolmate contact him to join his band. Olli agreed and in the following time was build a completely new band with a crossover style mix with influences of almost any musical style. The special of this band (GONZO ...rockt auf!) are the lyrics in swabian dialect, the live comedy and the different costumes on stage. Olli playes guitar and sings in this band until today and there are four successful CD releases with Gonzo, several airplays and TV apperances. In 2006 Olli started some side and solo projects. The Fender Stratocaster player bought a Music Man Luke2 in 2006 and he has now the sound, he always wanted. He plans some new projects at the moment. He works as a successful business consultant, he will release his first solo album "Sirius" and record a new CD with his band Gonzo in 2008.
