Married duo, originating from the bone-rattling depths of New Zealand: a place where the squirrels are so big, and the men are so hairy, that it’s hard to tell them apart sometimes. The Squirrel Skin Slippers play straight talking, primal, foot stomping, amped up yet stripped down music.. so stripped down that the bones are starting to show - chattering pearly white teeth, knocking knee bones and all. Their music is stitched together from the skins of old deep south dirty blues, DIY garage music, folk noir and 60’s punk spirit. This new and unpredictable creature is then brought to life with their own fuzzed-up experimental style and served with a (friendly) snarl! ************************************************************ ** Recipe For Home-Baked Squirrel Skin Listening Bliss: ************************************************************ ** Step 1: Slip into your best squirrel suit. Breathe in if, Lord knows, you bought it in the 70’s and you aint the plucked chicken that you were as a teen. Step 2: Ease in to your favourite vinyl moccasins that still have the K-Mart sale price tag on the bottom. Step 3: With a jar of pickled eggs in one hand and some ant-acids in the other, settle in and listen to all our prrrty songs.
