New CD release! "Spaghetti alla Chitarra" Raf Montrasio & Davide Facchini - a guitar tribute to Italian Songs ____________________________________________ ANITA CAMARELLA & DAVIDE FACCHINI DUO Concerts - Workshops - News (ENG) Concerti - Seminari - Novità (ITA) Concerts - Nouvelles (FR) ____________________________________________ The Duo was born, in the year 2000, from the union of two musicians coming from different musical directions. They benefit from a wide professional experience and have the same passion and curiosity for the different musical languages. Anita Camarella and Davide Facchini draw their knowledge from several musical eras. Anita Camarella comes from 'Ancient Music' and Jazz and Davide Facchini from Jazz, Rock and Blues. This talented couple boasts a large repertoire. Their music reflects the influences of swing, jazz, folk, and their own compositions are fresh and original. In their first project the Duo has been fascinated by 'Italian Swing' from the '30s and '40s: unforgettable lyrics and music, which tell about typical Italian experiences and anecdotes of that era. Their passion for this music culminated in their first recording, with the title "Quei motivetti che ci piaccion tanto!" (featuring Raf Montrasio , guitarist of Renato Carosone sextet). At the beginning of the year 2003 the Duo was invited by the Italian Institute of Culture of Tunisi to perform in a tournée in the most important University in Tunisia in order to share and perform this large part of Italian cultural history. Radio Stations of United States, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, France, Tunisia and Italy have broadcasted their music. Anita Camarella and Davide Facchini have toured extensively in Italy, in Europe and in the United States. They have performed together with the biggest artists of the international guitar panorama (Tommy Emmanuel, Thom Bresh, Buster B. Jones, Stephen Bennett, Jim and Morning Nichols and many others...). ____________________________________________ "Bello! Originale! Moderno! Really unusual and frankly sensational: this extremely talented couple satisfy all generations with a modern extraordinary misture of styles ." "Pacifica Tribune", San Francisco (U.S.A.) Music:Member Since: 12/29/2006Band Website: anitadavideduo.com Band Members: Anita Camarella: voice, micanon, viella Davide Facchini: acoustic and electric guitar Influences: All kind of music... All kind of singing... All kind of guitar styles... Sounds Like: In our first project we have been committed in the storic-musical research and in the working out of Italian Swing of years '30s and '40s. The strong interest for the music and its elaboration of the "Swing Epoch" have culminated , in year 2002, in a record "Quei motivetti che ci piaccion tanto!" which collect hits like "Maramao perché sei morto?", "Baciami piccina" or "Tulipan" (that you can listen in this page): unforgettable lyrics and music, which tell about typical Italian experiences and anecdotes of that epoch. Into this CD we played some tunes with the legendary Italian guitarist Raf Montrasio . Discography - Discografia - Discographie ____________________________________________ - Raf Montrasio was born in 1929 and he’s a guitar legend in Italy. He plays also mandolin, violin, piano and doublebass! He’s one of the fathers of electric guitar in Italy. In the Fifties he toured all around the world with Renato Carosone (a very popular singer and pianist, who wrote the famous "Tu vuo' fa l'Americano"). They played a mix of swing, rock’n’roll, Neapolitan traditional music, etc. They were one of the best band in Italy of last century! And they were the first pop group that played into Carnegie Hall of New York, in 1958! During the 50s they had concerts with Nat King Cole, Joao Gilberto, and many other; and they played at Perry Como and Ed Sullivan Show too. To play with him was a great honour and pleasure for us...! _____________________________________ Just for fun in the street... :-) Anita Camarella & Davide Facchini live in Cervia Add to My Profile | More Videos "Nel blu dipinto di blu" (Volare) Type of Label: None |
