| In his native country, Cameroon, he plays with great musicians such as MANU DIBANGO, MIRIAM MAKEBA, FRANCIS BEBEY, FELA KUTI.. ect. In 1985 he moves to Rome and he collaborates with italian artists such as ALEX BRITTI, LUCA BARBAROSSA etc. During a tour with AFRICA 'O BOSSO in Bologna, he meets LUCIO DALLA, FRANCESCO BACCINI and starts a concert collaboration with them. He sees to arrangements at the Esagono in Rubiera, where he meets BIAGIO ANTONACCI and ROBERTO VECCHIONI... Back in Rome, he creates The Soul Roger's Set, seeing to rhythmics and arrangements. GENIALE BASSISTA, capostipite di una famiglia di musicisti, forma musicalmente due allievi eccezzionali, i fratelli Felix e Armand. Suona il basso a 5 corde appositamente costruito "The Brown Swan" con una tecnica invidiabile tanto da meritarsi la menzione "The Magic Finger". - Inizia gli studi al conservatorio a Parigi all'età di 6 anni. - Al rientro nel suo paese di origine, Camerun, comincia a suonare nei clubs di musica più in voga. Inizia le tournée internazionali con Manu Dibango e Miriam Makeba; successivamente collabora con Fela Kuti e Francis Bebey. - con il gruppo Makumba Makumba è in tournée per due anni in Grecia. - Nel 1985 si trasferisce in Italia, dove tutt'ora vive. Collabora con numerosi musicisti italiani, Alex Britti, Luca Barbarossa, Lucio Dalla, Francesco Baccini, Pino Daniele, Biagio Antonacci, Roberto Vecchioni e molti altri. Partecipa a numerosi festival nazionali ed internazionali con il gruppo AFRIKA O'BOSSO, fondato a Roma, successivamente con il chitarrista Shiko Mawatu suona nel gruppo Yampapaya, curando gli arrangiamenti del CD "Global Colored Treck". - Nel 2000 incide per l'etichetta indipendente Godzilla Records il CD Salam Aleikoum (Awale) - Nel 2002, sempre con l'etichetta indipendente Godzilla Records incide il CD Mister Roger. (The Soul Roger's Set). - Collabora con studi di registrazione, scrive colonne sonore per il teatro e per i documentari. |
